You can find our apartments on Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO — but booking direct with Mink Homes is usually the better move, and here’s the honest reasoning why.
No platform mark-up
Booking platforms charge service fees, and that cost gets built into what you pay. Book directly through our site and you’re paying for the apartment, not a cut to a third party — which often means a better rate for exactly the same stay.
Talk to the people who actually manage the property
When you book direct, you’re in touch with our team from the start — not a platform’s messaging system with delayed replies. If you want help picking the right apartment for your trip, or have a specific question before you commit, you can call or email us and get a straight answer.
The same standard, every time
Whichever way you book, you get the same apartment: professionally cleaned, fully stocked, with self check-in from 4pm and support during your stay. Booking direct doesn’t mean a lesser experience — it means cutting out the middleman on the booking itself.
Secure payment, no surprises
Direct bookings are paid securely online by card through Stripe — no cash, no ambiguity. Full terms, including cancellation policy, are shown clearly before you confirm, so there’s nothing to untangle later.
Licensed and accountable
Every apartment we manage is licensed by the Malta Tourism Authority. Booking direct means dealing with the licensed operator directly, rather than through a platform layer in between.
When a platform still makes sense
If you’re already deep into planning through Airbnb or Booking.com and prefer that platform’s protections, that’s entirely fine — you’ll still get the same apartment and service. But if you’re weighing it up, direct is usually the simpler, better-value choice.
It’s a small decision at the checkout stage, but over the length of a stay in Malta, the saving from booking direct can be the difference between a good trip and a great one.
